Provides direction and assumes responsibilities for production related processes. Collaborates with Warehouse, Quality, Maintenance, Packaging and Processing as necessary to organize and control day-to-day activities to ensure daily manufacturing schedules are met; that all documentation is processed and released to meet ship dates; that the required levels of GMP, Safety, Sanitation, and records are maintained; the development and promotion of a team culture within the departments; team motivation and team performance management; working with the Maintenance Department to promote an environment of continuous improvement.

Schedule: Rotating A/B Schedule: (3) days one week and (4) days the next, 12 hour shift, 7:00am to 7:30pm
Work Location: 1801 N 36th St, Grand Forks, ND

Salary, based on experience and other qualifications: $34.67 per hour
Essential Duties & Responsibilities
Ensures adherence to daily production schedules. Assigns employees their daily tasks. Monitors material and supply inventory. Resolves processing problems, working with QA and Maintenance. Reviews projects including Rework and repacking assignments with the Retail Packaging Manager and proactively works to reduce costs, simplify processes/operations, and improve product quality. Works effectively with other management team members, understands duties of each team member sufficiently to offer assistance as needed. Provides leadership and expertise to department employees. Conducts performance evaluations; facilitates development of employees through coaching, leading and training; initiates counseling and corrective action for disciplinary issues. Ensures safety standards are complied with and employees work in a safe manner. Assists in accident investigations. Avoids intermixing and contamination of product by utilizing sound sanitation practices. Ensures daily and weekly reports are accurately filled out and done in a timely fashion. Conducts or attends Shift Change Meetings. Projects and monitors crewing needs. Audit M&C Lines for compliance with quality, GMP. labeling, housekeeping, scanning, and paperwork. Ensures all quality and sanitation checks are carried out to prevent production of substandard product and that finished goods meet or exceed customer expectations. Works closely with Retail Packaging Manager to ensure efficient execution of the production schedule, changeovers are completed in a timely fashion, and all production standards are met. Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge
Must have the ability to supervise, direct and organize multiple employees at any given time. Prior experience in supervision and employee development.
