Overview:
The Sr. Sample Production Manager will work closely with Designers to act as point person for sampling requests and manage communication between internal teams and factories for both in-season and off-calendar requests.
Key Accountabilities:
- Build and execute seasonal strategy for capacity and track across multiple brands based on available factory allocation
- Create, manage, and maintain seasonal sampling request across multiple brands & categories to ensure alignment between factories
- Manage communication between internal teams and factories for both in-season and off-calendar requests
- Coordinate with internal teams to consolidate communication ensuring streamlined requests of fabric and samples is communicated clearly to the factories
- Communicate deliverable updates to both domestic and global cross-functional partners to ensure timelines are maintained and milestone deliverables are met
- Elevate and proactively seek out solutions to missed deliverables as they relate to Calendar or shifts in business needs
- Collaborate with cross-functional business leads to identify solutions for shifted sampling needs as in-season challenges arise
- Collaborate with cross-functional leadership in concepting, testing, and rolling out new digital sampling solutions to improve efficiency of the sampling process
- Collaborate with Calendar team and Design to drive achievable deadlines for sampling deliverables seasonally
- Manage calendar updates in biweekly calendar agendas, including reporting out recaps of sample xfty’s, and manage updates in master calendar files & outlook calendars
- Work closely with the Ops teams on tech pack hand off details (BOM, Specs, Artwork) to ensure accuracy and smooth workflow
- Manage high level recaps on sample status and risk to be shared with CFT and leadership weekly
- Act as the liaison between Factories/Sourcing & Design where needed to expedite resolutions to ensure on time sampling
- Special projects as assigned
Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities/Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in Sourcing, Product Development, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in the fashion industry (children's wear knowledge a plus)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office with advanced Excel skills
- Excellent organizational, communication and presentation skills with attention to detail
- Must be a strategic thinker, persuasive and collaborative
