Staff Accountant (Tax)

Description

As a key member of our Tax team, the Staff Accountant position's primary day-to-day responsibilities may involve preparation of partnership, corporation, S corporation, and individual income tax returns, tax department strategic planning and continuous improvement process implementation, engagement planning, generating ideas for clients and maintaining client relationships, tax projections, evaluation of tax correspondence and drafting responses to taxing authorities, opportunities to mentor staff and interns, as well as other duties as assigned. This will include a keen ability to engage clients in a professional manner, a strong aptitude in both written and verbal skills, and marketing/community involvement.

 Responsibilities

• Preparation and review of Individual, Partnership, Trust, Corporation and S Corporation tax returns
• Participates and contributes to firm wide strategic planning and goals
• Mentors and trains interns
• Performs other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Business, or related field
• Working towards a CPA license designation a plus
• Public accounting experience highly preferred
