Are you looking to use your expert leadership and project management skills in an industry that supports and protects explorers and heroes? We could use your expertise on our team! As a Sr Project Manager, you are responsible for managing a high risk, high complexity project with multiple deliverables. Although higher complexity and dollar value there is no Earned Value requirements. From design to release for customers, monitoring the project from initiation through delivery and program closeout. You will develop, define, and execute project plans, schedules, budgets and deliverables; identify needed resources for projects; and interface with internal and external customers or field-based employees on technical matters as needed. You will be responsible for all aspects of the project lifecycle: proposal development, planning, scope, definition, design, execution, delivery, and program closeout. You will track progress against milestones, budgetary guidelines, or other performance indicators, and prepare reports to stakeholders. The Project Manager will need to be agile and flexible, as changes will be certain and frequent. It is likely you will have direct reports or a larger support staff to orchestrate execution.

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or related field
  • Typically 6+ years of progressive experience in project management roles and/or in related or technical fields
  • Proficient in leading a team of at least 5 either directly or indirectly                  
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and project management software
  • Working knowledge and experience applying Earned Value Management concepts
  • Demonstrated experience in managing a highly complex project and its various parts; proposal development, contract negotiation, resource management, engineering development, operations and production, test through delivery and contract closeout
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical skills & capability to meet schedules
  • Strong leadership, communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification
  • A proven background and recent competency in Earned Value Management
  • Experience managing project scope and scope creep during project execution
  • Experience in resource planning and management during project execution
  • Experience with risk management planning and documentation
  • Knowledge of Kaizen & Lean Manufacturing principles
  • Knowledge of ISO 9001, AS9100 & CMMI process standards
  • Familiarity with government contracting and regulations
