Position Summary

This position is responsible for leading engineering projects, supporting strategic and KPI goals, contributing to proposals, overseeing project scope, schedule, and fee, and ensuring effective resources are assigned to projects. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, technical expertise, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. This role includes performing structural engineering technical work on complex projects, mentoring staff, applying proficiency in designing, analyzing, and reviewing structural systems to ensure safety, stability, and compliance with industry standards. Essential Functions

As a Senior Structural Engineer at Woolpert, you will:

• Lead structural engineering technical work for complex projects.
• Track project progress, including scope, schedule, and fee.
• Oversee technical review and provide high quality deliverables.
• Develop and modify models, plans, details, and drawings of structural engineering systems and components according to established standards and modeling techniques.
• Perform structural analysis using modeling software and techniques for complex structures.
• Perform structural design for various structural materials, including steel, concrete, wood, and masonry.
• Support career development and technical skill advancement of team members.

Qualifications

• BA/BS or MA/MS in related field and fifteen (15) years related experience.
• Registered Professional Engineer (PE) certification required.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience leading engineering projects.
• Experience with mid- and high-rise buildings, long span, parking structures, and concrete podium construction preferred.
• Excellent presentation, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
• Expert verbal and written communication abilities for both internal and external relationships.
• Experience with discipline related software applications and calculation tools.
• Substantial experience designing in Autodesk Revit 3-D modeling software and directing the preparation of constructi
