Job Description:

• Perform research and development to build up new HDR technology solutions which align to new SAMSUNG HDR display devices and ideal reference display software technologies.
• Perform research and development to find new optimal AI solutions for content creation technologies with compact neural network engine architecture and topology developments.
• Productize state of art video/image processing software technology to real deliverables with SAMSUNG HQ and 3rd parties.
• Productize the AI ScaleNet by deploying the related neural network and inference engine for running on our devise.
• Develop the accelerations for real-time running for ScaleNet using possible methods including single instruction multiple data (SIMD), OpenCL, and multithreading.

Minimum Education & Experience Requirements:

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, a related field, or a foreign equivalent, plus 2 years of post-baccalaureate experience in job offered or related role.
• Applicants must have 2 years of experience in the following: (1) C/C++ & Python programming skillset for signal and image processing (2) Image & video processing algorithm development; (3) image & video processing algorithm analysis & optimization with traditional signal processing methods; (4) adapting traditional image & video processing algorithms to AIbased & neural network-based signal processing methods; (5) deep learning & neural network programming skills with Python & TensorFlow for algorithm development; (6) real-time image processing architecture design with artificial intelligence & neural network processing; and (7) parallel programming with graphics processing unit (GPU) or CPU-based single instruction multiple data (SIMD) optimization.
• 10% domestic and international travel required.

The base pay range for roles at this level is $115,357 and $186,650, but may be higher or lower in other states due to geographic differentials in the labor market. Within the base pay range, individual rates depend on a number of factors—including the role’s function and location as well as the individual’s knowledge, skills, experience, education and training. This is part of our comprehensive compensation package with annual bonus eligibility and generous benefits to help you live life well.
