ABM is hiring a Military Recruitment Program Manager is responsible for leading ABM’s military/Veteran recruiting efforts by locating, identifying, evaluating, screening, and recommending talent from the military community. The individual in this role will work cross-functionally to design and deliver mid-to-long-range strategies that establish ABM as a Military employer of choice. The Military Recruitment Program Manager will work closely with the Culture & Inclusion team to influence and scale partnerships with unique talent programs, while helping to establish scalable best practices for Military/Veteran recruiting at ABM.
This is a Hybrid Work Arrangement (in-office on Tue/Wed/Thu) and can sit at an of our ABM offices located in Sugar Land (TX), Tempe (AZ), Chicago (IL), NYC (NY), or Atlanta (GA)!
Essential Functions
- Perform recruitment, interview, selection, and assessment of military and veteran applicants and candidates.
- Educate Hiring Managers on the benefits of hiring candidates with military backgrounds.
- Generate a diverse candidate population using various methods including job boards, membership organizations, and personal networking.
- Consult with various internal and external teams to identify talent needs and develop sourcing strategies to attract diverse military candidates
- Establish ABM as a Military Employer of Choice, managing and growing our employment brand and recruitment presence (careers webpage, external branding, social media, etc.)
- Work with active military installations to host career events and directly source outgoing military talent
- Develop candidate talent pipelines through sourcing channels, recruitment campaigns, internet searches, networking groups, social media, ABM Impact groups, database searches, referrals, and advertising.
- Source for multiple searches and support several hiring managers across multiple disciplines simultaneously
- Monitor and report on pipeline and workforce veteran diversity metrics
Qualifications – Education & Experience
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business-related field, or equivalent related work experience.
- Experience:
- 2 years of experience recruiting military/veteran personnel for the private sector
- Honorable military service and experience recruiting from military and veteran populations are preferred.
- Strong sourcing skills with previous experience developing, presenting and executing diversity sourcing strategies and developing diverse candidate pipelines.
- Strong MS Office, Excel and PowerPoint skills Technology savvy including social media and process mapping.
- Experience with Oracle Cloud Recruiting and/or ATS (Applicant Tracking Systems) is a plus
- Experience with applicant tracking systems, such as Oracle Recruiting Cloud (preferred)
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and various applications with advanced proficiency in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, and Teams

- Possess a passion for recruiting and sourcing diverse candidate groups, including but not limited to Veterans and others with military experience
- Solid verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to effectively present to large and small groups
- Strong hiring manager influencing skills with the ability to understand manager's hiring needs, make recommendations and coach managers to make the best top talent decision.
- The ability to work with a broad team of professionals, understanding their needs and preferences, and strategizing support elements to their requirements is a must-have.
- Exceptional time management, organizational, and communication skills required
- Can perform at a high level, at high volume with little guidance
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information is essential
