Role Purpose Statement:

 

We are seeking an accomplished candidate with 4+ years of experience to lead global lease accounting vertical. The ideal candidate will not only possess a deep understanding of lease accounting standards under both US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (USGAAP) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) but will also demonstrate strong management and behavioral skills. You will be leading a team of seasoned employees, overseeing the meticulous management of leases for the company. This role involves ensuring accuracy and compliance in lease accounting, financial reporting, and driving process improvement initiatives.

 

Main Accountabilities:

 

• Expertly interpret and apply lease accounting standards under both USGAAP and IFRS.
• Apply in-depth knowledge to assess lease agreements and determine appropriate classification (finance lease vs. Operating lease).
• Complete lease modifications, renewals, or terminations tasks
• Stay abreast of changes to accounting standards related to leasing.
• Provide expert guidance to stakeholders on lease accounting implications.
• Assist month end close in lease tool.
• Assist monthly review of reported balances in OneStream with lease tool.
• Ensure compliance with group’s SoX program and standard policy and procedures.
• Manage NAKISA tool for lease data, overseeing key terms, payment schedules, and relevant information.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to validate and ensure accuracy of lease data.
• Utilize extensive experience to identify opportunities for process improvements.
• Improve the business process flow on a continual basis utilizing industry leading practices.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

 

• Timely completion of lease requests.
• Timely delivery of key reports to stakeholders.
• Internal Control - Zero significant deficiency/observations for Sox Audits, USGAAP, Statutory, GIA Audits or any other compliance audits mandated by Bunge.

• Compliance with Financial reporting timelines by coordination with all process owners.
