PRIMARY ROLE

- The Sales Director will direct the Sales Executives within the East region of the United States market. This individual will be responsible for implementing regional sector strategy and developing sector sales target accounts and action plans. As a Sales Director, this person will also be responsible for defining then managing local sales budget with regional sector sales lead, driving Total Value Proposition, recruiting/developing the sector sales organization, developing a succession plan for the group, providing sales, sector & reporting training to the team, and providing input to innovation development funnel. The sales director will also deliver financial performance for the sales region and provide regional forecast information to the Finance team & the demand planning team.

- Expand market penetration for assigned region or customers in the Institutional cleaning industry. Identify new customers and opportunities within region and grow business while reinforcing the Diversey - Solenis brand.

- Manages a base of business ranges from very little to large base. A Sales Professional must have a defined territory or industry where they have sufficient opportunity to capture competitively held business; and assigned an aggressive and achievable revenue growth target.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Enable Diversey to profitably grow its market share in the Distribution and Channel Sales division by leading a regional team of sales professionals.
  • Manage the Distribution and Channel Sales Field teams in the assigned geography; responsibilities include hiring, managing and developing the Market Managers and Sales Professionals in the assigned geography who are responsible for developing local market sales and distribution management. 
  • Create a sales, growth and profit plan for the assigned region that identifies how to drive profitable growth with existing and potential end users and distributor partners, innovations, targeted product groups, and key channel partners.
  • Track and report on key performance indicators, including the sales funnel, innovation and focused product group activity and key account launches.  Providing coaching to team members on how to improve their opportunities, capabilities and results.
  • Demonstrate application and distribution expertise
  • Demonstrate and apply skills that enable the effective demonstration of Diversey products, programs and solutions. 
  • Understand and be able to clearly articulate the value of products, programs and solutions to be able to train and educate field sales teams, end users and distributors.
  • Hire, retain and develop individuals, improving the talent and capabilities of Diversey  – providing coaching and career path guidance
  • Administrative Duties - Complete key administrative tasks such as salesforce.com, expenses, pricing, performance reviews, employee development and management of budgets and marketing funds.
  • Develops business development strategies and creates annual business development plans for relevant area to reach required business objectives and revenue.
  • Works closely with extended commercial team (ie Corporate Accounts, Regional Marketing, Pricing, and Applications) to understand business requirements and market needs.
