About the role

Job Summary:
Responsible for supporting Actuarial Management

 

Essential Functions:

  • The essential functions listed represent the major duties of this role, additional duties may be assigned.
  • Support and analyze activities related to the Government Markets (ACA and Medicare) and Commercial Markets (Small/Mid/Large Group and ASO)
  • Maintenance and improvement of Actuarial analyses such as trend setting, gross margin reporting, and financial forecasting 
  • Rate analysis and development 
  • Actuarial representation on cross-functional workgroups as an active participant 
  • Forecast/variance analysis and reporting
  • Product development support 
  • Segmentation support 


Required Experience:
4+ years related work experience. Experience Details: Successful, progressive professional work experience in an Actuarial field
Related Bachelor's degree required Math/Statistics or related degree 
Associate of the Society of Actuaries (ASA) 
Ability to communicate and present detailed business and financial strategic information in a clear and concise way to all levels of management

 

Preferred Qualifications:
Background in health field or insurance field SAS, R and/or SQL experience 

Familiarity with programming languages PC software (spreadsheets, graphics, word processors) 

Independently managing projects and/or people

Innovation and process improvement  

Fellow of the Society of Actuaries (FSA)

 

General Physical Demands:
Sedentary work: Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally to move objects. Jobs are sedentary if traversing activities are required only occasionally.

Annualized Salary Range: $109,300 - $177,600

Typical Annualized Hiring Range: $130,000 - $170,000

Final pay will be determined with consideration of market competitiveness, internal equity, and the job-related knowledge, skills, training, and experience you bring.
