About the Team & Role 

Design, architect, and scale Auger’s core Data Lake and Data Warehouse platform to support high-performance, real-time data pipelines, enable advanced analytics, and empower AI/ML tools. This role will require technical mastery, strategic vision, and hands-on leadership to drive innovation in enterprise-scale data infrastructure. 

Key Responsibilities: 

• Architectural Leadership: Define and execute the roadmap for Auger’s Data Lake and Data Warehouse architecture to ensure scalability, reliability, and performance. 

• Data Modeling: Lead the creation and evolution of Entity-Relationship Diagrams (ERDs), Schemas, and Data Dictionaries to model complex business processes and data systems. 

• Pipeline Development: Build and optimize real-time data pipelines for ingestion, processing, and integration of structured, semi-structured, and unstructured data. 

• Data Governance: Implement robust frameworks for data governance, lineage, and security across the data lake and warehouse ecosystem. 

• Performance Tuning: Drive query optimization, indexing strategies, and storage efficiency to enhance performance for high-scale workloads. 

• AI & Analytics Enablement: Collaborate with data science and engineering teams to integrate AI/ML workflows, advanced analytics tools, and predictive capabilities. 

• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with engineering, product, and business stakeholders to align data platform capabilities with organizational needs. 

   

Key Skills and Qualifications: 

• Experience: 10+ years of hands-on experience in data architecture, focusing on designing and managing large-scale data lakes and warehouses. 

• Data Modeling Mastery: Proven expertise in designing complex schemas, ERDs, and maintaining comprehensive data dictionaries. 

• Real-Time Systems: Strong background in developing real-time and batch data pipelines using tools like Apache Kafka, Apache Spark, or similar technologies. 

• Cloud Platforms: Deep experience with cloud-native data ecosystems such as AWS (S3, Redshift, Glue), Google Cloud (BigQuery, Dataproc), or Azure (Data Lake, Synapse). 

• Database Expertise: Advanced skills in SQL and experience with distributed database systems like Snowflake, Databricks, or similar platforms. 

Nice-to-Have skills: 

• Programming: Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Scala, or Java for ETL development and custom tooling. 

• Data Governance: Hands-on experience with implementing data governance frameworks, compliance, and security standards.
