JOB TITLE: Divisional Senior Director of Corporate Engagement
REPORTS TO: Executive Director of Advancement
PAY GRADE: 412
PAY RATE: $112,278 - $140,340

JOB SUMMARY
The Divisional Senior Director of Corporate Engagement provides strategic leadership and vision for all corporate philanthropy and engagement initiatives. This role is responsible for developing and executing long-term and annual plans that align with The Salvation Army’s mission and fundraising goals. The Senior Director ensures the growth, diversification, and sustainability of corporate partnerships and giving programs across the organization.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Strategic Leadership & Planning
a. Lead the development and implementation of comprehensive strategies for corporate giving, sponsorships, corporate volunteer engagement and partnerships.
b. Collaborate with executive leadership to align corporate giving initiatives with organizational priorities and mission impact.
c. Oversee the creation of annual and multi-year plans with measurable goals and performance indicators.
2. Corporate Donor Engagement
a. Cultivate and steward high-value relationships with national and regional corporate partners.
b. Guide the Corporate Relations team in developing tailored engagement strategies for new and existing donors.
c. Ensure a robust communication and recognition program that enhances donor retention and satisfaction.
3. Fundraising and Financial Oversight
a. Drive revenue growth through strategic corporate fundraising campaigns, sponsorship and cause marketing initiatives.
b. Monitor and report on ROI for all corporate fundraising activities throughout the division.
c. Set and evaluate annual fundraising goals and ensure alignment with divisional budget projections and organizational needs.
4. Team Leadership and Development
a. Lead, mentor and develop a high – performing Corporate Relations and Volunteer team, including Directors, Managers and support staff.
b. Foster a culture of collaboration, accountability and innovation.
c. Provide ongoing training and professional development opportunities.
5. Cross Functional Collaboration
a. Serve as a key liaison between the development department and other internal teams (Marketing, finance etc)
b. Partner with regional, divisional and territorial leadership to support all corporate engagement strategies as needed.
c. Represent The Salvation Army North and Central Illinois Division in external forums, conferences, and corporate philanthropy networks.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES
· Education: Bachelor’s Degree with advanced training or degree desired.
· Experience: A minimum of ten years’ experience in a non-profit organization.
o Proven success in securing and managing major corporate gifts and partnerships.
o 3+ years demonstrated success in leading Development programs and/or equivalent Salvation Army experience that would lead to Achievement of goals for corporate giving.
Skills/Abilities
· A demonstrated ability to manage staff, projects, priorities and programs in a constantly changing environment.
· Deep understanding of corporate philanthropy trends and best practices.
· An interpersonal style that builds significant relationships with both current and potential donors.
· Advanced understanding of resource development systems, especially in Major and Planned Gifts, as well as the professional knowledge necessary to achieve department objectives.
· A commitment to supporting the work of the Army through the identification, recognition and development of donors.
