As a Certified Physical Therapy Assistant, you’ll work closely with licensed Physical Therapists and interdisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality therapy services to patients from infancy through adulthood.

What You’ll Do
Under the indirect supervision of a licensed Physical Therapist, the Certified Physical Therapy Assistant provides direct patient care and supports individualized treatment plans across inpatient and outpatient settings.
Key responsibilities include:

Provide direct physical therapy services to patients from infancy through adulthood following established plans of care

Apply principles of growth and development to deliver age-appropriate treatment

Perform prescribed therapeutic exercises, modalities, and functional activities

Use clinical judgment to monitor patient response to treatment and identify when Physical Therapist consultation is needed

Communicate effectively with patients, families, physicians, and interdisciplinary care teams

Document patient treatments and progress after each session in accordance with established standards

Strong clinical skills within the Physical Therapy Assistant scope of practice

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to collaborate effectively with Physical Therapists and interdisciplinary teams

Strong documentation and time-management skills
Minimum Qualifications
-
Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant program
-
Active Physical Therapy Assistant license issued by the Washington State Department of Health
-
Current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Work Environment
This role is performed in inpatient and outpatient healthcare settings and involves frequent interaction with patients, families, and healthcare professionals.
Physical Demands
