About the role


The Internal Investment Consultant (Internal Wholesaler) is responsible for the sales and support of the Managed Account solutions (Portfolio Advisor and Private Asset Management) and Lifetime Income (Annuitization) solutions in their assigned regions. Under limited supervision, this job partners with Integrated Solutions Directors (external wholesalers) and shares similar goals and scorecard metrics.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Provides sales support via handling incoming calls and questions from the Advisory Teams in the field.
  • Engages in proactive wholesaling activities including outbound calls, Director Team calls, and Regional meetings.
  • Drives product awareness and adoption in the field.
  • Supports distribution channel initiatives and finds ways to add value to their process.
  • Participates in pipeline management activities in partnership with the Integrated Solutions Director (ISD).
  • Partners with field leaders to provide sales support, team training and share best practices.
  • Facilitates training and drive product awareness and adoption.
  • May travel in assigned region to participate and present in group meetings and training sessions.
Educational Requirements
  • University (Degree) Preferred
Work Experience
  • 3 Years Required; 5 Years Preferred
FINRA Registrations
  • SRC Indicator: Series 7; Series 63; Series 65; Series 66
Licenses and Certifications
  • Life and Health Insurance License (Resident State) - Multiple Issuers preferred
Physical Requirements
  • Physical Requirements: Sedentary Work

Career Level

Required Qualifications

  • 3 years of financial services experience

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5+ years of financial services experience

  • Investment product managed accounts experience strongly preferred

  • Strong financial knowledge of TIAA’s investment products and services

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Flexible, a team player

Base Pay Range: $72,400/yr - $105,000/yr

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location.  In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
