Manages a department that includes multiple teams led by managers and/or supervisors in General Engineering. Establishes the key priorities in workflow processes, and oversees the execution of resource allocations to ensure optimization of strategy and implementation.

As the Associate Director of Engineering, you will play a crucial role in planning, coordinating, and executing projects. Your responsibilities will include supervising teams, researching new products, and ensuring successful project delivery. You’ll collaborate closely with cross-functional teams and other management personnel.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning and Coordination:

  • Develop strategies for project execution.
  • Manage project budgets effectively.
  • Coordinate project activities across teams.

New Product Introduction (NPI):

  • Provide technical support to the Materials Management team during RFP initiatives.
  • Administer the effective use of outsource products.
  • Develop prototype designs using required techniques and manufacturing processes.
  • Maintain an inventory and ensure availability of necessary equipment, tools, test equipment, and prototype parts.

Industrial Engineering:

  • Support implementation and improvement projects in Manufacturing Engineering and Industrial Engineering.
  • Collaborate with local units in Mexico and other divisions and enterprise units worldwide.
  • Work with technical documentation (mechanical, electrical, and software) to assess designs and address issues.
  • Manage ambiguity and translate it into solutions.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams during projects supporting fulfillment strategy and technology implementation within fulfillment operations.

Advanced Manufacturing Experience:

  • Design and implement cost-effective, robust new products.
  • Collaborate with customers and sales teams to identify product requirements and specifications.
  • Partner with manufacturing to ensure high-quality product production.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 7+ years experience leading and managing of teams
  • 5+ years experience in Project Management          

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in industrial engineering, Engineering, Industrial Management, Mechanical Engineering
  • Black Belt, Green Belt,
  • ERP Planning (SAP, JD Edwards)
