EKN Engineering is a fast-growing civil engineering and technology consulting company in Irvine, CA. In order to hit our growth goals, we are now hiring a Data Entry Specialist to our outstanding team. Unlike traditional data entry roles, this role requires more analysis than typing speed or simple manual data entry. At EKN, Data Entry Specialists are responsible for client coordination, task organization, and quality control checks. The Permits and Compliance department is seeking a candidate to assist with obtaining approved encroachment permits from Caltrans. The ideal candidate will be able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and proficient with technical writing, proofreading documents and exhibits, and professional coordination.

Job Description

• Coordinate professionally with clients and state government
• Perform quality control checks on permitting documents and exhibits
• Organize and request data required for permitting submittals
• Update databases internally and externally
• Create accurate submittal packages for the state government
• Coordinate and communicate data exceptions with team leads and with customer data management counterparts.
• Prioritize and track projects both internally and externally

Qualifications

• Technical writing experience is preferred
• Proficiency with the following programs is required: Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, Access and Outlook
• Previous experience with client coordination
• Experience with proofreading or quality control checks
• Must have excellent communication and writing skills
