Advanced Resolution Engineer

About Your Role

You will lead technical issues in the command center and use your strong troubleshooting skills to drive those issues to resolution. This includes implementation techniques and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements.

What you’ll do:

• Provide in-depth systems analysis, maintain, and troubleshoot complex operating systems software and related program products
• Provide technical consultation on the use and integration of applications into the operating environment
• Capture and analyze various types of data collections
• Work with a client first attitude with the ability to work well under high pressure and stressful situations to deliver outstanding customer service
• Collaborate with corporate-wide technical staff and large external clients on complex projects and tasks
• Review complex processes and implement automation improvements
• Participate in an on-call rotation as needed

Experience you’ll need to have:

• 6+ years of experience in systems and/or network engineering role
• 4+ years of troubleshooting complex systems at an enterprise level
• 4+ years of experience with Linux and Windows server environments, Unix, Cloud, networking, and virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V)
• 3+ years with enterprise tools such as Dynatrace, Extrahop, Splunk, and Wireshark
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, or a relevant field, or an equivalent combination of education, work, and/or military experience

Experience that would be great to have:

• Experience with scripting languages like Python or PowerShell
• Experience with disaster recovery planning and implementation
• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes

How you’ll work:

• This role requires being on-call during non-standard and/or overnight hours on a rotational basis
• This role requires flexibility to work overtime that includes weekends and holidays
• This role requires use of a computer and audio equipment
