We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Marketing Manager to lead all marketing efforts for Ventures Endurance. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership capabilities, as the position includes direct management of a team of 6 direct reports and 4 indirect reports. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of leading high-performing teams, creating and managing marketing budgets, overseeing campaigns, and maintaining vendor relationships. Excellent communication skills and the ability to collaborate across departments are essential to enhancing the runner experience.
Key Responsibilities:
• Team Leadership & Development: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 6 direct and 4 indirect reports. Foster a collaborative, accountable, and innovative team culture. Provide regular coaching, performance feedback, and professional development opportunities.
• Budget Management: Create and manage the marketing budget, encompassing core marketing expenses and event-specific allocations. Ensure effective and efficient use of funds.
• Marketing Strategy & Execution: Oversee all marketing efforts for Ventures Endurance. Make data-driven decisions on marketing spend and adjust strategies based on registration trends and performance metrics.
• Vendor Management: Maintain and strengthen relationships with key external vendors to ensure timely and high-quality deliverables.
• Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal teams (Design, Race Directors, Sponsorship, Volunteer, Expo, Groups) to ensure seamless communication and alignment of marketing initiatives.
• Project Management: Partner with the project manager to plan registration launches and promotional campaigns. Define timelines, discounts, and activation strategies.
• Sponsorship Integration: Collaborate with the sponsorship team to align marketing capabilities with sales goals and provide performance reporting.
• Advertising & Campaign Optimization: Guide team members on ad placements across Meta, TikTok, Google, and other platforms. Provide strategic feedback, manage budgets, and troubleshoot issues. Plan and execute direct mail campaigns.
• Invoicing Oversight: Manage invoicing processes for advertising, tools, print, videography, and content creation.
Qualifications:
• Proven experience in marketing management, preferably in the endurance sports or events industry.
• Demonstrated success in leading and developing teams.
• Strong budget management and strategic planning skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proficiency with digital marketing platforms and tools.
• Strong project management and organizational skills.

The annualized base salary for this role will range between $55,000and $81,000. Variable compensation is not reflected in these figures and based on the role, may be applicable. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience, location, and union representation, if applicable.
