About Global Payment
The Global Payment team of Bytedance provides payment solutions - including payment acquisitions, disbursements, transaction monitoring, payment method management, foreign exchange conversion, accounting, reconciliations, and so on to ensure that our users have a smooth and secure payment experience on ByteDance platforms including TikTok.

We are the TikTok Payment Solutions team, dedicated to serving the payment needs of TikTok Live, Commercialization, Capcut, and more. We are committed to serving the company's business development, meeting the business needs for payment infrastructure and growth product capabilities, and pursuing business satisfaction and value.

We are looking for a self-driven senior software engineer to drive payment product development. You will have the opportunity to partner closely with globalized engineering and product teams in a high-impact and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:
1. Develop and maintain backend solutions for ByteDance's international payment services.
2. Design and implement system architectures that deliver high-quality, seamless information services to millions of users.
3. Engineer and optimize high-traffic, high-concurrency online systems for performance.
4. Participate in research for specialized technology initiatives and the introduction of new technologies.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or above, major in computer science, communication, or related fields preferred.
- Passionate about computer science and internet technologies, with proficiency in at least one programming language, including but not limited to: Go, Java, C, C++, PHP, or Python.
- Solid understanding of computer fundamentals, including data structures, algorithms, and operating systems.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to abstract and decompose business logic effectively.
- Eager to learn, proactive mindset with excellent communication skills.

Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience or internships in payment or transaction domains is a plus.

【For Pay Transparency】Compensation Description (annually)

The base salary range for this position in the selected city is $145000 - $250000 annually.​

Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies and experience, and location. Base pay is one part of the Total Package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work, and this role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, and restricted stock units.​
