Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sr. Manager, General Accounting to join our team at the Big Spring, TX Refinery.

 

This key role will serve as a critical resource for the Refinery Leadership Team, working closely with the General Manager to provide accurate and insightful accounting results for the refinery. The Sr. Manager, General Accounting will oversee all accounting functions, ensuring compliance with financial regulations and standards, and will drive continuous improvement in financial processes. This position requires daily on-site presence from Monday through Friday and reports to the Director, Accounting at our Brentwood Headquarters.

JOB SUMMARY

Performs general accounting activities, including the preparation, maintenance and reconciliation of ledger accounts and financial statements such as balance sheets, profit-and-loss statements, and capital expenditure schedules. Prepares, records, analyzes, and reports accounting transactions and ensures the integrity of accounting records for completeness, accuracy and compliance with accepted accounting policies and principles. Provides financial support, including forecasting, budgeting, and analyzing variations from budget. Analyzes and prepares statutory accounts, financial statements, and reports. Conducts or assists in the documentation of accounting projects.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

• 4 year / Bachelor's Degree (Required)
• Eight (8) or more years’ Experience in a related field (Required)
• Petroleum Product Refining Experience (Preferred)
• Certifications/Licensures: CPA (Preferred)
