POSITION DESCRIPTION/RESPONSIBILITIES

Work under general supervision to perform maintenance and engineering functions for the resort. The Maintenance Technician must understand the practices, techniques and technologies required in the work they are performing or monitoring and possess the ability to interact well with guests to ensure a positive guest experience. A significant portion of time will be spent moving about the resort.

This job summary is not intended to be all-inclusive. The employee may be requested to perform other reasonable related duties as assigned by their supervisor or management.

Qualifications 

1. General knowledge of the tools, methods and materials used in building maintenance work; resort or hotel maintenance experience a plus.
2. Ability to use a variety of hand tools and equipment, measure distance and calculate quantities, and read blueprints.
3. Ability to pass drivers background check, operate light to heavy machinery, vehicles, and equipment.
4. High school diploma (or equivalent).
5. Ability to use a computer or other technology devices.
6. Problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills.
7. Ability to communicate effectively in both oral and written form, receive and give instructions, and prepare work orders and reports, including via the use of a computer or other device.
8. Must have reliable transportation; reliability and punctuality are critical.
9. Must be able to work flexible schedule to include nights, weekends, weekdays and holidays.
10. Ability to walk or stand and move about the resort (both indoors and outdoors) for eight or more hours per day, move on and climb a ladder, sit, reach, lift, bend, kneel, stoop, climb, push and pull items weighing up to 40 pounds.
11. The position requires manual dexterity; auditory and visual skills; and the ability to follow written and oral instructions and procedures.
