Description:

MercyOne is seeking a strategic and mission-driven Director of Cardiopulmonary Services to lead the operational, clinical, and strategic direction of our Cath Lab, Diagnostic Cardiology, and Pulmonary Services.

This hospital-based leadership role is central to advancing exceptional patient care through collaboration, innovation, and clinical excellence.

As Director, you’ll oversee a highly skilled team across critical cardiopulmonary functions, driving performance in quality, safety, and outcomes. You’ll foster a culture of continuous improvement, elevate colleague engagement, and ensure financial stewardship while aligning with MercyOne’s mission, vision, and values.

Working closely with cross-functional leaders, you’ll guide service line development, champion evidence-based practice, and help shape the future of cardiovascular and pulmonary care across the health continuum.

• Full Time, 40 hours per week
• Salaried/Exempt

General Requirements:

• Minimum of 8 years of clinical experience in related Cardiac or critical care services. Minimum of 5 years of progressively responsible management experience.

Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in nursing, Business or related field required. Master of Science in Nursing, Health Care Administration or MBA strongly preferred.
• Current relevant Iowa license in accordance with education.
