A Day in the Life
As a Principal Business Process Project Management Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the Surgical Clinical Project Management Office (PMO). We are seeking an enthusiastic and experienced professional to be a key player in development and launch of our Clinical Research Project Management Office (PMO). This role is pivotal in establishing robust project management practices, frameworks, and methodologies to support our strategic goals and operational excellence.Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Design and implement a comprehensive PMO organizational and technical structure to effectively manage deliverables and projects for clinical research projects.
- Plan, execute, and monitor clinical research projects aligning with strategic objectives.
- Collaborate with various stakeholders for to align on project goals through effective planning and communication.
- Oversees and manages the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as liaison between project management and planning, project team, and line management.
- Lead teams to evaluate and allocate resources efficiently to maximize productivity and project success.
- Develop and monitor KPIs to assess effectiveness of project management practices and identify areas for process improvement.
- Provide training and support on PMO processes, tools, and best practices.
- Implement, monitor and report on quality control to preserve data integrity and operational standards.
- Foster interdepartmental collaboration and improve sustainable processes.
- Leads or leverages cross functional teams to evaluate, develop and manage projects for key business processes.
SPECIALIST CAREER STREAM: Typically an individual contributor with responsibility in a professional discipline or specialty. Delivers and/or manages projects assigned and works with other stakeholders to achieve desired results. May act as a mentor to colleagues or may direct the work of other lower level professionals. The majority of time is spent delivering and overseeing the projects – from design to implementation - while and adhering to policies, using specialized knowledge and skills normally acquired through advanced education.

Required Knowledge and Experience: Requires mastery of a specialty area and full knowledge of industry practices, typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience.
May have broad knowledge of project management.
Requires a Baccalaureate degree (or for degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree which satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)( 4)(iii)(A) and minimum 7 years of relevant experience, or advanced degree with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience.
