About the role
Are you ready to get in on the ground floor of Leo, Amazon’s long-term initiative to design, launch and maintain a constellation of Low Earth Orbit satellites to provide low-latency, high-speed broadband connectivity to unserved and underserved communities around the world?<br/><br/>It’s Day 1 for Amazon’s next billion-dollar business and we are looking for a Sr. Technical Program Manager to work in a start-up environment who is passionate about technology and information systems, who thinks and acts globally, and has the ability to create and implement solutions.<br/><br/>The ideal candidate will possess both the technical background that enables them to work with technology and a demonstrated ability to think broadly and strategically about Project Kuiper initiatives. They will experience a wide range of problem-solving situations requiring an understanding of technical infrastructure and stakeholder expectations.<br/><br/>Key job responsibilities<br/>- Manage a portfolio of system implementation projects from design to deployment including integration with Amazon Corporate systems (OFA, Concur, ADP, and HR).<br/>- Build deployment project plans and manage risks impacting successful delivery. <br/>- Develop use cases by gathering business requirements, work with software development to build required features, clearly communicate dependencies and manage/track exceptions.<br/>- Participate in Proof of Concepts (POCs) sessions to ensure proposed solutions can meet business requirements.<br/>- Active participation in Unit Test, System Integration Test, User Acceptance Test, and User Training.<br/>- Have an ability to navigate through a large amount of ambiguity and drive consensus between cross-functional stakeholder groups.<br/>- Demonstrate crisp communication skills, have experience communicating project status to a broad audience and be willing to follow appropriate escalation channels to ensure delivery as planned.<br/>- Possess a strong program management background, have experience leading large/complex/cross-org projects, and have a well-rounded technical background.<br/>- Drive project schedules from design to release, managing the production launch for a product/feature, and using metrics to provide status along the way.<br/>- Relentlessly simplify and demonstrate significant innovation, creativity, and good judgment when solving challenging problems.<br/>- Drive best practices on the team, deal with ambiguity and competing objectives, and proactively identify and mitigate risks before they become roadblocks.<br/>- Write effective narratives and present them concisely and effectively to senior management.<br/>- Develop program and team processes and tools as required.<br/><br/><br/>A day in the life<br/>This role will be highly collaborative, requiring partnerships with cross-functional leaders to drive positive results. You will tackle challenging business problems and have the opportunity to work with Leo and Corporate technical teams.<br/><br/>About the team<br/>Leo Finance Technology (LFT) is a part of Devices and Services (DaS) FinTech team supporting Leo Finance. LFT provides program management, SAP product, and BI reporting solutions to support Leo business initiatives.
