Uphold asset protection and sustain business growth through prudent credit analysis processes, support Relationship managers, analyzing and evaluating prospective commercial mortgage loans. Perform financial property analysis for the Commercial Real Estate portfolio in New York with high accuracy in a fast paced environment for both prospects and existing customers.
- Assist Relationship Managers with all aspects of initial sizing to closings. Spread and analyze financial statements and other credit information for Relationship Managers
- Research credit worthiness using multiple resources and reports. Evaluate different loan types including land, construction, bridge and stabilized projects
- Work with appraisers, brokers, and online services to obtain and validate market information; and review leases and rent rolls, analyze sponsor/guarantor and/or major tenant financial wherewithal
- Work with multitude of asset classes including multifamily, retail, office, industrial and hotel.
- Work closely with Portfolio Management Team on load modifications, approvals, and waivers.
- Prepare preliminary investment committee materials
- Ensure that all work processed meets audit and compliance requirements
Qualifications

- Minimum 3 years’ experience in a commercial real estate credit evaluation environment.
- Knowledge of Income Producing Real Estate property phases, i.e., Construction, Lease-Up and Stabilized.
- BS degree in Accounting / Finance or business-related field
- Working knowledge of commercial credit systems as well as corporate financial systems (i.e., Loans and Deposit Balances, Collateral & Doc Tracking).
- Proficient in Excel including the ability to perform cash flow analyses and create financial models. Working knowledge of Argus a plus.
- Excellent research and analytical capabilities
- Strong interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
- Familiarity with legal documentation is a plus
- Team player – positive “can do attitude”
Additional Information
Compensation:
The expected annual salary for this position is between $100,000-120,000 annually at the start of employment. A salary offer is determined on an individualized basis, taking into consideration factors such as an individual’s skills and experience. In addition to base salary, our total rewards package also includes eligibility for an annual bonus, medical, pharmacy, dental, and vision plans, life and disability insurance, employee wellness program, retirement and savings plans with employer contributions, generous holiday and paid time off schedules, parental leave, and tuition reimbursement.
