What You Will Do:

The Materials & Processes Engineering (MPE) group in West Palm Beach, FL is seeking a highly motivated individual to join the team, primarily to support the Failure Analysis & Material Characterization sub-discipline(s). This role will be responsible for the planning and execution of material, manufacturing, and engine hardware forensic investigations, including the coordination with and direction of work to engineering technicians. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Work directly with engineering customers to define work scope and data requirements for investigations.

• Execute Failure Analysis standard work to plan and perform material, manufacturing, and engine hardware forensic investigations of varying degrees of complexity.

• Work in a fast-paced environment where multiple concurrent projects is typical.

• Some travel (up to 10%) may be required for the fulfillment of job responsibilities.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science & Technology related field.

• 5+ years experience in Engineering, Science & Technology related field OR an Advanced Degree in a related field and 3+ years experience.

• Broad familiarity with industrial and laboratory equipment and safety principles and practices.

• U.S Citizenship is required as only U.S citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

Qualifications We Prefer:

• Master’s degree or PhD in relevant Materials & Processing related field, with familiarity of both metallic and non-metallic material/alloy systems.

• Familiarity with gas turbine engine design, operation, and performance.

• Familiarity/proficiency with advanced imaging and analytical equipment including scanning electron microscopes, metallographic microscopes, and 3D imaging microscopes and digital photographic equipment.

• Familiarity with metallographic equipment and sample preparation.

• Experience working in large collaborative teams to solve technically difficult problems.

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.

The salary range for this role is 82,000 USD - 164,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
