Job Description

Design and deploy various customer facing Linux and BSD based systems infrastructures.
Create and deploy scalable monitoring systems for massively growing global infrastructure.
Design, code and deploy software solutions and automation.
Look for opportunities to optimize existing code-base with focus on maintainability and reusability.
Diagnose complex customer issue and propose/provide end-to-end solutions.
Contribute to OS packaging and distribution.
Document new operations/procedures and and maintain existing documentation.
Resolve escalated issues and help prevent recurring operational overhead by documenting and automating.
Design and support highly scalable compute solutions based on Linux/BSD systems.
Collaborate with other teams and recommend integration strategies of platforms, applications and infrastructure to optimize the Zscaler Cloud effectiveness.
Become an SME and support other teams keeping best practices in mind.
Participate and/or lead projects from intake to closure. 

Qualifications

• Strong hands-on Linux system administration skills (7+ years).
• Hands-on experience with the following areas (5+ years):
•   - KVM+libvirt, containerization
•   - classless routing, iptables, nftables
•   - relational databases, replication and ACID principles
•   - DNS, SSL/TLS, GPG, git
• Strong Python experience, including OOP principles (5+ years).
• Mid+ experience with Golang, Rust are a plus.
• Participation in building large-scale commercial networking and security applications.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field involving computer systems engineering, or equivalent practical experience.

Zscaler’s salary ranges are benchmarked and are determined by role and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations and could be higher or lower based on a multitude of factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

The base salary range listed for this full-time position excludes commission/ bonus/ equity (if applicable) + benefits.

Base Pay Range$115,000—$165,000 USD
