Job Overview
We are currently looking for a Sales Director to join our team in Washington, D.C. This position will cover the Capital and Coastal states area which include, Washington, D.C., Maryland, Virginia, West Virginia, North and South Carolina.
As a Sales Director, you will be a:
Strategic leader responsible for driving company growth and profitability through development and execution of comprehensive business development strategies. Establishes and strengthens high-impact relationships with clients, real estate, design firms, project management firms and distribution partners to generate sustained business growth. Provides leadership, direction, and performance oversight to direct report team, ensuring alignment, accountability, and unified focus on capturing market share. Consistently meets or exceeds assigned sales targets and quota.
Essential Functions
- Drives top-line revenue growth through strategic account expansion, new business development through execution of team business plans. Implements effective strategies, fosters team accountability, and ensures clear communication of goals.
- Leads business performance via forecasting, pipeline management, and business plan execution, optimizing win rates. Oversees budget, policies, and team management, including hiring, development, and performance.
- Nurtures collaborative relationships with distribution partners through joint strategy and development for execution of market share growth initiatives.
- Develops and implements account growth plans, encompassing campaigns, client engagement, target account strategies, adapting to market dynamics to achieve sales goals.
- Maintains a strong market presence, networking and cultivating relationships with key industry contacts, monitoring trends, promoting the brand, and pursuing new business.
- Collaborates with cross-functional leadership to develop and execute corporate strategies, align resources and communications. Works with Global Accounts Directors to allocate resources for global clients.
- Coaches and develops team performance through regular sessions and reviews, ensuring accountability for goals. Promotes the effective use of Haworth selling tools and CRM.
- Champions a culture of belonging, supporting initiatives for talent acquisition, engagement, and retention, and fosters career enrichment for team members.

Required Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, sales, architecture, interior design, marketing, communication, or equivalent.
- Education Equivalency:
- Associate's degree plus 2 years related experience or,
- High school diploma plus 4 years related experience.
Work Experience:
- 7 years diversified sales and account development experience in commercial product sales with successful revenue generation/quota retirement results with a Bachelor's Degree.
- 5 years diversified sales and account development experience in commercial product sales with successful revenue generation/quota retirement results with a Master's Degree.
- 3 years sales supervisory experience.
