OmniData is looking for an Associate Technical Project Manager. For this position, you will grow to have experience managing multiple technical projects and interfacing with end clients directly. What you will do –
As an Associate Technical Project Manager with OmniData, you will work to learn and follow OmniData PMO standards manage multiple Data Warehousing, Analytics and Managed Support consulting projects. In this role, you will be responsible for building strong relationships with internal team members, senior leadership, as well as clients. The individual for this position will grow to be entrusted to coordinate team delivery, identify and mitigate project risks and resolve issues as they come up.
Your Duties and Responsibilities –
- While working under direction and guidance from PMO and Sr. Technical Project Manager in agile delivery your duties and responsibilities will be
- Manage one or multiple customer projects including ongoing support contracts
- Document and communicate project plans, timelines, and milestones and budgets
- Manage project budgets
- Work with the Resource Manager to ensure the correct resources are assigned to each project
- Proactively analyze project progress, identify risks and issues and work to remove them
- Learn and follow the OmniData project management methodology to support both internal project teams and external clients
- Manage project Change Requests (includes budget forecasting, scope creep management and change request communication to the customer and OmniData Leadership)
- Attend and lead meetings, as well as provide project updates with thorough professional verbal and written communication
Requirements
What you must have to be considered
- Desire to learn and grow as a Technical PM
- Desire to become certified as Agile PM
- Ability to work in a fast pace environment
- Ideally 1-3 years of experience managing technical projects
- Experience working with the latest project management tools (Such as: Azure DevOps, Jira, Confluence, MS Project, or similar tools)
- Experience working within the Agile Framework
- Knowledge on the PMBOK project lifecycle
- Confidence in managing multiple clients and small projects simultaneously
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interface with clients of various degrees of technical knowledge
- Basic Microsoft Outlook, Project, Excel, Word and Power Point skills
- Ability to be an independent contributor and lead projects from inception to closure
What would be nice for you to have
- Basic knowledge and experience working with the latest Microsoft Data Analytics technologies (Such as Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Factory, Azure Data Lake, or similar)
- Project Management/Scrum Certifications, such as: PMP, CAPM, CSM, Etc.
- Previous consulting experience
