The Position

The purpose of the Senior (Sr.) Manager of Capabilities, Novo Nordisk Inc. (NNI) Employee Experience role is to proactively develop and manage learning curriculum of medium complexity within assigned areas of responsibility. The goal is to help evolve and scale Enterprise leadership capabilities for emerging, new, in-role, and senior leaders. Performance consult with stakeholders to assess gaps & needs and propose solutions that build and evolve leadership capabilities. Will be responsible for curriculum and program management to proactively build and evolve prioritized capabilities in pursuit of measurable business outcomes across the enterprise. The learning solutions developed should be innovative and meet the needs of the modern professional and learner.

 

Relationship

Reports to the Director, Capabilities NNI Employee Experience. Collaborates closely with key Employee Experience, P&O, Home Office, Global P&O, and Field personnel. Partners closely with Mid-level management within the business units. Interacts with Enterprise-wide stakeholders regarding NNI training needs and proposed initiatives. External relationships may include interaction with various outside partners to support In-House and Field NNI Employee Experience needs and/or facilitation.  Requires matrix team influence to completion of desired project outcome (project core team, business sponsor, training sponsor, stakeholders, client group(s) etc.)

 

Essential Functions

  • With alignment from the Director, Capabilities – NNI Employee Experience, build and manage assigned curricula & measurement strategies within (med. complex curriculum and/or asset build)
  • Effectively establish, deepen, and sustain key relationships with divisional learning team, HRBPs, and business SMEs to understand their business needs and related performance gaps
  • Lead collaborative efforts with stakeholders to define desired performance outcomes
  • Performance consult with stakeholders to assess gaps & needs and propose/develop/deliver learning solutions that build and evolve leadership capabilities aligned with NAO priorities
  • Deliver world-class learning experiences with a business owner mindset, prioritizing measurement, innovation, and scalability while making clear choices along the way
  • Monitor, analyze, interpret, and report internal trends; make recommendations for learning solutions for the division or function, as appropriate
  • Liaise and partner within NNI Employee Experience, Capabilities Leads, HRBPs and Global P&O colleagues to design, develop, curate, co-create learning solutions, as needed
  • Liaise and partner with business management leads to ensure relevance and value of curriculum and successful learning outcomes
  • Engage in tactical vendor management
  • Adhere to content management strategy and create awareness of asset development within Employee Experience
  • Follow & execute established department SOPs
  • All components of program management for learning initiatives of med complexity
  • Matrix program management and learning administration responsibilities supporting Associate Director-led Enterprise initiatives

 

Physical Requirements

Approximately 20-30% overnight travel.

 

Development of People

Non-Supervisory.

 

Qualifications

  • A bachelor’s degree required. Advanced degree preferred
  • A minimum of 8+ years training experience preferred. Prior applicable Novo Nordisk experience will apply
  • Previous management/supervisory experience preferred
  • Experience designing, developing, and executing Enterprise-Wide Leadership development programs
  • Experience both leading and program managing Enterprise-Wide learning curriculum of medium complexity
  • Strong executive presence, communication, and cross-collaboration skills, with the ability to work across multiple teams and laye
