As a Software Engineer on our Common Simulation Environment (CSE) team, you’ll develop applications that mimic real-world sensor behavior to support cutting-edge development and testing of next-gen flight decks for both fixed-wing and rotary-wing aircraft. You’ll join a collaborative, fast-paced engineering team making a real impact in aviation defense technology.
What YOU will do:
- You will design, develop, and test simulation software that replicates avionics sensor behavior, enabling realistic product testing and development.
- You will diagnose lab issues, conduct root cause analysis, and propose engineering solutions to ensure product reliability.
- You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, management, and internal customers across Military Avionics programs.
- You will support program leads with schedule and budget estimates related to simulation development tasks.
- You will help drive continuous innovation and improvements across our avionics simulation environment and infrastructure.
What YOU will learn:
- Gain deep exposure to military flight deck systems and advanced sensor modeling.
- Enhance your development skills using modern simulation technologies and multi-language platforms (C++, Python, C#).
- Work in a team that values agile principles, fast feedback loops, and collaborative problem-solving.
Qualifications YOU Must Have:
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 2 years of prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field
- Proficiency with C/C++ programming
- Experience scripting in Python
Qualifications WE Prefer:
- Experience designing or implementing Graphical User Interfaces (GUI)
- Familiarity with C# and application migration between operating systems and hardware architectures
- Exposure to Agile software development (Scrum, sprints, etc.)
