The Maritime and Intelligence Systems Versatile Technologist will be a part of a high-performing team. This position will design, install, operate, secure, and maintain dedicated program Information Technology (IT) Infrastructure that is required to deliver products to our customers. The position will require the individual to support users at remote military locations and work with virtual teammates across multiple time zones. As a member of our team, you will have an opportunity to perform a multi-disciplined range of technical systems and application activities. This role will team up with program engineering personnel to design, deploy, and maintain effective cost-efficient information technology solutions that support the Boeing Defense Systems programs.
Position Responsibilities:
- Prepare release planning for software and hardware across the system, including patch management.
- Monitor, evaluate and optimize systems performance.
- Evaluate complex system production readiness and supportability.
- Perform the restoration of routine to complex computing service operations.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance activities.
- Ensure proper functionality of installed equipment, including the ability to diagnose and resolve hardware computer issues.
- Apply engineering principles and experience to research technical, operational, and quality issues that cannot be resolved by the customer.
- Contribute to the development and execution of well-targeted customer training programs and procedures.
- Interface directly with Customer and End-Users to facilitate DoD-compliant work controls and scheduling and End-User training obligations.
- Conduct complex analysis to optimize total system and/or system architecture to solve complex problems.
- Maintain technical manuals, documentation, and procedures applicable to the technology and peripheral equipment.
- Coordinate with industry partners to accomplish a combined field site work plan.
- Work in both Linux and Windows environments.
- Lead Information Technology projects that provide dedicated program infrastructure.
- Provide creative problem solving, critical thinking, and advanced troubleshooting skills across a broad domain of secure network and computing systems.
- Interact frequently with inter-organizational personnel and external customers.
- Perform hardware and software installation, configuration and disposition of servers and workstations to support the architecture.
- Provide complex problem resolution, root cause analysis and technical support for delivery systems.
- Participate in the design, validation and configuration management of computing delivery systems.
- Plan and coordinate system changes.
- Administer user system access and establishes safeguards to protect information to meet security requirements.
- Mentor, lead, and train others.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite listed.
This position requires an active U.S. Top Secret Security Clearance, with a current Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (U.S. Citizenship required) or requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active).
