An ORBCOMM Business Solutions Architect is a strategic consultative solutions seller who translates a customer's business needs into integrated technical solutions using Orbcomm products and services. You’ll set the solution strategy, working closely with the Key Account Manager to align to outcomes, build trust and maximize ORBCOMM revenues at our largest customers.

This role may also be held remotely within the USA. We strongly prefer candidates based in the Midwest Triangle region—such as Chicago, Atlanta, Houston, or the Dallas–Fort Worth area.

What You’ll Do:  

• Strategic transformation: Understanding a client's business goals and identifying major transformation initiatives that align to ORBCOMM's commercial and technological solution strategies.
• Solution design: Creating comprehensive business relevant solutions that are scalable, dependable, and secure for large, complex, and global enterprise environments.
• Customer advocacy: Acting as the "voice of the customer," translating their needs into technical requirements for engineering, sales, and support teams.
• Value Solutioning & ROI Realization: Partner with customers to define measurable business outcomes and develop value-based solution roadmaps. Quantify ROI and operational impact across the asset lifecycle by linking ORBCOMM’s technology capabilities to tangible business metrics. 
• Technical leadership: Providing expert guidance on technical integration and troubleshooting, overseeing projects, and mentoring less experienced team members.
• Communication: Effectively communicating and advocating complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including C-level executives.
• Innovation: Using design thinking and staying current on emerging technologies, such as AI and Cloud analytics, to drive commercial and technical innovation.

• Technical expertise: Apply a strong technical background to solve business problems, often involving advanced areas like AI, IoT and asset visibility.
• Communication: Clearly articulate complex requirements and technical solutions to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Business acumen: Understand the enterprise-wide business implications of IoT/Analytics/AI projects, including process and people-related impacts. 

Who You Are:  

You’re a strategic thinker with a knack for excellence, ready to tackle multiple priorities with agility and grace. If you have:  

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, Marketing, or a related field (MBA preferred).
• 7+ years of experience in intermodal or maritime cargo logistics industry.
• Excellent relationship-building, design-thinking, and communication skills.
• Consultative sales experience in a fast-paced, technology-driven industry (e.g., SaaS, software, IT services).
• Willingness to travel internationally as needed.
