Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Content Strategist to join New York Life. As a Content Strategist, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing content strategies that align with our business objectives, engage our target audience, and reinforce our brand positioning. You will work closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Corporate Communications, and across the enterprise, to create and optimize content across various platforms and channels. Your expertise in content planning, development, and optimization will contribute to enhancing our brand's presence and driving meaningful engagement with our customers.
Responsibilities:
- Content Strategy Development: Develop and execute a comprehensive content strategy aligned with our business goals, target audience needs, and market trends within the financial services industry. Identify content themes, messaging, and storytelling approaches that effectively communicate our value proposition and differentiate us in the market.
- Content Creation and Management: Collaborate with content creators, including writers, designers, and multimedia specialists, to develop compelling and high-quality content across multiple formats, including articles, blog posts, videos, infographics, and social media content. Ensure brand consistency, messaging alignment, and adherence to regulatory guidelines in all content produced.
- Content Optimization and Distribution: Implement strategies for content optimization, based on target audience insights, content performance and evolving business needs, to increase organic visibility and drive traffic to our digital platforms and our Field support. Partner with the channel owners such as websites, social media, email marketing, and Field support, to maximize content reach and engagement.
- Content Performance Analysis: Partnering with the Marketing Effectiveness team, monitor and analyze content performance. Provide insights and recommendations for content optimization and improvement based on data-driven analysis.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with internal stakeholders, including Marketing, Corporate communications, product, and compliance teams, to ensure content strategies align with overall marketing objectives, regulatory requirements, and brand guidelines. Collaborate to develop content calendars, coordinate campaigns, and support product launches or initiatives with relevant content.
- Industry Trends and Best Practices: Stay updated on industry trends, emerging technologies, and content marketing best practices within the financial services sector. Continuously seek opportunities for innovation and improvement in content strategy, storytelling techniques, and customer engagement.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field (or equivalent practical experience).
- Minimum of 10 years experience
- Proven track record as a Content Strategist, Content Manager, or similar role in the financial services industry, preferably within a Fortune 100 company or large-scale organization.
- Strong understanding of the financial services sector, including banking, investments, insurance, or related areas.
- Excellent strategic thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills, with the ability to translate business goals into effective content strategies.
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with a keen eye for detail and the ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
- Demonstrated experience in content creation, including writing, editing, and content production across various formats and channels.
