Description

The Jessica Fox lab in the Department of Biology at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio is seeking a postdoctoral research scholar to carry out behavioral and genetic experiments to study the flight control of fruit flies (Drosophila melanogaster). Candidates need to have a PhD in biology or neuroscience and should be familiar with high-speed videography, Matlab programming, and Drosophila genetics. Candidates will be expected to write scientific manuscripts for high-impact journals. The annual starting base salary range for this position is $55,000 - $62,652. Postdocs receive individual and family healthcare benefits, life insurance, and employee assistance.

Qualifications

PhD in Biology or Neuroscience.  Familiar with high-speed videography, Matlab programming and Drosophila genetics.

 

 

 

In compliance with the City of Cleveland’s Pay Transparency Ordinance (effective October 27, 2025), the annual starting base salary range for this position is $55,000 - $62,652. CWRU considers factors such as (but not limited to) the specific grant funding and the terms of the research grant when extending an offer. Postdocs receive individual and family healthcare benefits, life insurance, and employee assistance.
