The Total Joint Replacement Coordinator is responsible for coordinating care activities and the quality clinical outcomes for patients receiving services through the joint replacement program. Ensures DNV compliance with Hip and Knee Replacement Program standards. Coordinates patient preoperative educational classes. Chairs the multidisciplinary steering committee. Required Education:
Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing
Preferred Education:
BSN Required Skills:
Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook), patient teaching, interdisciplinary collaboration, excellent customer service and teamwork skills. Preferred Skills:
MEDITECH proficiency, project coordination Required Licensure/Registration/Certification:
Texas license as a Registered Nurse, Basic Life Support, Orthopedic Nursing Certification (or within two years of hire). Preferred Licensure/Registration/Certification:
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
Required Experience:
One or more years nursing experience, including Orthopedic care, physician relationships Preferred Experience:
Experience with Orthopedic patient care, Quality monitoring, and/or Supervisory role, process improvement, marketing, business development
