Esports – Broadcast Student Observer (FWS/NFWS)

Grand Canyon University is seeking a Student Worker to support the mission of Grand Canyon University through GCU Esports Department.
Purpose within the Organization:
In this position you will work with a team to produce live broadcast for GCU Esports competitive and community teams as a game observer.
Responsibilities Related to Purpose:
Setup and test equipment.
Operate game observer station.
Communicate with coaches and other team members during streams.
Gain knowledge of game analytics for VALORANT and Rocket League.
Attend and participate in weekly meetings for broadcast.
Other responsibilities as they apply.
Equipment Used and Responsibility
Microsoft Office 365 – Word, Excel, Teams
OBS streaming software
Windows Computer
Qualifications:
Flexible work hours including evenings and weekends.
Ability to lift and move up to 20 pounds of equipment.
Proven knowledge of collegiate esports titles and gaming systems.
Demonstrated passion for esports gaming.
Ability to work in a team setting.
Ability to maintain professionalism in a high energy, fast paced environment.
Outstanding communication skills.
Strong time management skills.
Education:
Grand Canyon University is committed to a student first policy. Therefore, all applicants must meet the following eligibility requirements to be considered for student employment:
Enrolled at GCU as a full-time student in a Bachelor's program or Master's program
Retain a 2.0 GPA as a Bachelor level student or a 3.0 GPA as a Master's level student
Maintain good financial and academic (SAP) standing with the University
You may be subject to termination if you fall below the minimum requirements.
Pay Rate: Minimum Wage
