<p><strong><span style="color:#000000">Antwerp/Amsterdam/Vilvoorde</span><span style="color:#121317"> - </span></strong><span style="color:#000000">The Data Domain Architect plays a central role within our decentralized data teams. These domains are the direct result of our company‑wide adoption of a Data Mesh architecture, making them end-to-end responsible for the design, build, and run of both data solutions and data products. Because you serve the entire DPG data community, your work will be highly visible and impactful.</span></p><p><span style="color:#000000">In this environment, the Data Domain Architect ensures that the architecture within these domains, utilizing our central Data and ML platform technologies, is set up and used in a coherent, scalable, and secure way. You contribute to the long‑term vision of enabling easy, controlled data usage through a mandatory data governance framework. You advise the Data Area Manager and Enterprise Data Architect on translating this vision into concrete initiatives and epics that guide the roadmap.</span></p><h4><span style="color:#000000">Key responsibilities</span></h4><ul><li><p><span style="color:#000000">Advise data domains on data solutions, data modeling methodologies, and the optimal use of our central Data and ML platform technologies</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#000000">Guide and advise domains through complex data and platform migrations, ensuring smooth and secure transitions</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#000000">Work closely with the Data Area Manager and Enterprise Data Architect, who continuously help define priorities and ensure architectural coherence with the broader enterprise landscape</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#000000">Collaborate weekly with the Data Platform Solution Architects to ensure strict alignment on technology evolution and domain usage</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#000000">Maintain strong relationships with other architects, Data Domain Representatives, and stakeholders throughout the company to ensure the platforms meet the needs of the DPG data community</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#000000">Act as the voice of the domains: gather stakeholder feedback and translate this into practical platform functionality to bridge the gap between long-term architectural vision and daily operations</span></p></li></ul><h4><span style="color:#000000">Experience and expertise</span></h4><ul><li><p><span style="color:#000000">At least five years of experience as a Data Architect or in a highly similar senior architectural role</span></p></li><li><p><span style="color:#000000">Deep understanding of modern data architecture principles. Do you live in Belgium? Then we expect you to be at the office 2 to 3 days a week on average for optimal collaboration. Do you live in the Netherlands? In that case, we will agree on a more flexible schedule, where we welcome you to Belgium at least once a week to maintain the connection with the team and the area</span></p></li></ul>
