This job is primarily responsible for acting as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to leaders, aligning people strategies with business objectives to drive organizational performance and cultivate high-performing teams. This role provides expert guidance and coaching on employee relations, leadership effectiveness, talent development, performance management, workforce planning, organizational effectiveness, and change management. In collaboration with HR subject matter experts, the HRBP implements people-focused solutions that enhance the employee experience, ensure compliance, strengthen organizational capability, and enable sustainable business success.

In this job, you will:

Actual responsibilities and travel time will vary depending on daily needs of locations supported.

  • Conduct and oversee thorough, objective, and timely workplace investigations and employee relations matters, including performance management, corrective action, and dispute resolution.
  • Provide guidance on HR policies, practices, and procedures to support compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, proactively mitigate risk, align with business objectives, promote consistency, and foster a positive employee experience.
  • Partner with leaders to build management capability, coaching them on employee relations, performance management, talent decisions, compensation practices, interviewing, onboarding, and employee development.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to leaders on employee relations, talent development, workforce planning, and change management needs.
  • Build trusted partnerships with business and HR leaders and employees, fostering a culture of open communication, accountability, engagement, and collaboration.
  • Develop a strong understanding of assigned business areas to identify workforce needs, anticipate challenges, and deliver practical people solutions aligned with business objectives.
  • Champion and reinforce the organization's culture, values, and mission across all levels of the business.
  • Facilitate and deliver leadership and employee development programs through training sessions, workshops, conferences, and regional meetings.
  • Leverage business and workforce data to identify trends and provide recommendations that improve employee engagement, retention, performance, and business results.
  • Partner with subject matter experts, including Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, Learning & Development, Talent Management, HR Systems, and Compliance/Legal, to support HR programs and support business needs.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Here’s what you’ll need to be considered:

Education

Required – Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, related field or equivalent combination of education, experience and training.

Experience

Required – 5+ years' experience as an HR Business Partner or similar role.

License/Certification

Preferred – PHR or SHRM certification.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Working knowledge of employment laws and regulations (e.g.ADA, EEO, FMLA, FLSA, and others) along with the ability to identify and mitigate employment-related risks.
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (e.g. Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).  Experience with Workday a plus.
  • Effective interpersonal, oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact with
