JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The College of Agricultural Sciences Department of Food Science is seeking to hire students for open research positions.

Duties include:

• Conduct organized research in the area of food microbiology

• Perform independent literature searches and prepare summaries of topics pertinent to ongoing research

• Conduct research under the direction of the Principal Investigator (PI), a postdoc, or a graduate student, leading to peer reviewed publication. 

• Prepare summaries of research projects conducted in the laboratory

• Draft protocols

• Perform analytical procedures and protocols as directed

• Collect and analyze data from ongoing research projects

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
