The Opportunity
This position can work our of our Plymouth, MN OR Austin, TX location for our Electrophysiology business. In Abbott’s Electrophysiology (EP) business, we’re advancing the treatment of heart disease through breakthrough medical technologies in atrial fibrillation, allowing people to restore their health and get on with their lives.
The Sr. Global Demand Planner plays a critical role in delivering accurate, data‑driven forecasts that align regional insights with global supply capabilities for the EP business. By integrating market intelligence, historical performance, and cross‑functional inputs, this role enhances forecast reliability, strengthens inventory optimization, and supports strategic growth across global markets.
In addition, this role will:
Lead LAAO Integration: Drive the full integration of LAAO into the EP business and serve as the single point of contact (SPOC) for all Amulet‑related demand topics while stabilizing and embedding the process globally. Own LTB + EOL Alignment: Manage Last‑Time‑Buy and End‑of‑Life processes from a demand planning perspective, ensuring consistent alignment across geographies and with Global Marketing. Improve Operational Efficiency: Develop enhanced analytics and reporting capabilities while proactively identifying and implementing demand planning process improvements. Partner effectively with different functional areas to drive efficiencies and improve the overall Demand Planning processes.
What You’ll Work On
Prepares data and graphs and leads monthly pre-S&OP meetings with cross-functional stakeholders (marketing, production, engineering, regulatory, clinical, R&D) within applicable value streams; drives action items as result of meeting.
Schedules and ensures proper attendance of pre-S&OP meetings.
Prepares S&OP template for S&OP management review and is prepared to justify actions.
Facilitates meetings to ensure clarity between supply and demand.
Reviews data from various sources to create a finished goods forecast which translates into manufacturing build plans while giving consideration to the following: backorder mitigation, minimization of time finished goods sits in inventory, minimizing finished goods/raw material/subassembly scrap, finished goods safety stock, new product introductions and product phase outs.
Leads cross functional meetings to ensure key stakeholders provide feedback and updates which could influence finished goods demands.
Leads continuous improvement project teams, proactively and without prompting, pulling in stakeholders from across the entity.
Performs as a systems super-user to investigate and recommend system efficiency improvements.
