We were meant to fly.<br/><br/>The Preliminary Design engineer – EDF military programs lead is an exciting opportunity to join the Preliminary Design team within the Advanced Systems Design &amp; Technology section. <br/>The team deals with the definition of propulsion system architectures together with their integration in future aircraft for both commercial and military applications. The initial responsibilities of this role are in support to the ongoing European Defense Fund military technology development programs the team is involved.<p></p><p></p><h1><span><b>Job Description</b></span></h1><p><b>Essential Responsibilities</b></p><p>As <span><span>Preliminary Design</span></span><span> engineer – EDF military programs lead</span> in this organization, you will:</p><ul><li><p>Lead and coordinate the activities of multidisciplinary project teams providing technical leadership, acting as integrator of different output from disciplines (mechanical, aerothermal, controls, …) within the company</p></li><li><p>Interface with internal and external customers or partners to specify system requirements and flow down to the different teams</p></li><li><p>Coordinate and execute trade studies of propulsion system architecture configurations and aircraft installation feasibility studies</p></li><li><p>Define the plan and monitor the execution of technical activities, deliverables and program milestones providing continued reporting to the leadership team and ensuring alignment with all involved functions</p></li><li><p>Contribute to the definition of the required technologies and maturation roadmap for the successful introduction of novel concepts</p></li><li><p>Lead or support technical and program reviews, present the results and findings to wide audiences from technical experts to executive leadership</p></li><li><p>Ensure compliance with best practices and processes</p></li><li><p>Ensure proper documentation of all work</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b><span>Qualifications/Requirements</span></b></p><ul><li><p>Master’s degree in engineering from an accredited University; Aerospace preferred</p></li><li><p>Demonstrated experience in aviation gas turbine engines development and their <span>integration/installation</span> on aircraft </p></li><li><p>Experienced in whole engine architecture trades and their impact into final system performance and aircraft capabilities</p></li><li><p>Significant experience on systems engineering and/or a variety of technical disciplines related to propulsion</p></li><li><p>Experience with both fixed wing and rotorcraft applications and associated gas turbine engine types</p></li><li><p>Propulsion system and aircraft requirements management experience</p></li><li><p>Familiarity with Research and Technology development processes </p></li><li><p>Fluency in English</p></li><li><p>Work VISA, according to local regulation, is required</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>Desided characteristics</b></p><ul><li><p>Experience in technical program management, planning and monitoring of activities</p></li><li><p>Passionate about Aviation products and innovation</p></li><li><p>Practical knowledge of the military sector and different aircraft applications</p></li><li><p>Experience in product growth strategies and advanced technologies</p></li><li><p>Can do attitude capable to manage uncertainty and changing environments</p></li><li><p>Experience working with cross-functional teams in a multinational environment</p></li></ul><p></p><p><b>What we offer</b></p><p><b>Smart working and work life-balance </b></p><p><span>Avio Aero, when possible, promotes smart work in hybrid mode, and encourages a good, healthy and satisfying work-life balance.
