About the role

Providence is inviting current nursing students and recent graduates to apply for our RN Residency Program at Providence St. Vincent Medical Center. This is an excellent opportunity to gain real-world acute care experience under the guidance of preceptors, mentors, and clinical educators. An RN Residency with Providence St Joseph Health will provide the foundation and support essential to becoming an expert in your specialty. Learn through a combination of structured curriculum, simulation, and authentic patient experience guided by experienced preceptors. If you are a recent graduated RN, with less than 12 months of experience, then the Providence resident program is for you.

Full-Time, Night shifts available. All openings will require scheduling on rotating weekends.

$5,000 Sign-on Bonus for eligible external candidates who meet all conditions for payment – this is in addition to the fantastic benefits and compensation package offered by Providence that begin on your first day of employment. 

Relocation is also available for applicants who qualify.

Required Qualifications:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program
  • Upon hire: Oregon Registered Nurse License
  • National Provider BLS - American Heart Association upon hire
  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program and is newly licensed with 12 months of experience or less

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • National Certification in area of specialty upon hire

The amounts listed are the base pay range; additional compensation may be available for this role, such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
