About the role:

Citi Issuer Services is looking for an Business Associate to join the COO team.  You will have global exposure to both the Agency & Trust and Depositary Receipts business lines and products and report to the Global COO for Issuer Services. You will be involved in key aspects of the COO function, with a focus on product analysis, planning and performance metrics.  This is a position with opportunities for growth in a dynamic team environment.

The Business Associate will assist in activities such as the tracking of business financials, identifying financial drivers, headcount or coordination of other administrative needs. May work on ad hoc projects as requested.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with business managers and product partners to forecast monthly headcount, revenues, expenses, and other business drivers

  • Create and deliver business presentations for internal use (such as QBRs, MBRs, townhalls, etc.), and assist on materials/reporting for external use (including fulfilling various regulatory commitments)

  • Partner with Product and Sales as necessary on financially oriented items such as RFPs or pricing models

  • Produce product, customer, and business metrics to assist in strategy development and accountability. Metrics include items such as Sales metrics, cross-sell statistics, manager scorecards

  • Examine budget estimates for completeness, accuracy, and conformance with procedures and regulations

  • Interface with Finance team on matters such as planning cycles and helping to resolve issues during month end close

  • Develop an in-depth knowledge of Citi's management book to drive on our understanding of our financial business drivers and create compelling stories for management

  • Develop technical knowledge of our data and systems architecture, so we can have more accurate reporting and resolve technical financial issues

  • Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.


Qualifications:

  • 3-5 years of relevant experience

  • Advanced Excel expertise including demonstrated capabilities with pivot tables, VLOOKUP’s, and formulas

  • Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills

  • Solid analytical skills, strategic analysis, and presentation skills

  • Attention to details a must

  • Ability to rapidly build trust and communication lines across all levels of  Issuer Services and with business partners

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize workflow while working with deadlines

  • Financial skills and and strong mathematical skill are a must. Experience with Citi financials and systems a plus.


Education:

  • Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience in a related field (Finance / Accounting / Economics / Mathematics)
