Custodial Supervisor - FACILITIES MAINTENANCE

Department:  Fac. Maint.  

Pay:  $18.79 per hour
         $39,083 annually  

Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00 am to 5:00 pm

Supervises Custodial contracted vendor and participates in the performance of cleaning multiple County buildings, structures ensuring they are clean, safe and reflect a professional atmosphere. Maintains appropriate level of custodial supplies for vendor and County staff without interruptions to services.

 

 

Contracted vendors

• Supervises the contracted custodial vendors, and coordinates with them all planned activities as well as coordinates monthly meetings with stakeholders.
• Assesses the quality of vendor’s services

 

Supplies

• Tracks inventory of supplies and purchases supplies for various County facilities
• Maintains accurate documentation of supplies usage
• Investigate new products for better pricing and effectiveness

 

Contractor Oversight

• Supervises one part-time employee and custodial contractors
• Performs daily inspections of facilities for cleanliness
• Initiates cleaning tasks needing to be performed by vendor
• Personally cleans high security areas where vendors are not allowed. i.e. Sheriffs Judicial.

Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent. Two years of experience. Per Sedgwick County policy, this is a driving level position that requires a valid US driver’s license without restrictions and current proof of automobile insurance.
