About the role: 

Responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies. Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process.  Works with engineers in conducting experiments.

Your responsibilities will include: 

• Observes and complies with all safety rules and regulations (including QSE and ISO Standards).  Has extensive knowledge of manufacturing safety, principles and hazards and begins to mentor others in best safety practices.  
• Participates in the Material Review Board (MRB) decision process. Complies with all Boston Scientific quality requirements and procedures. 
• Evaluates and orders necessary equipment, tools and fixtures.
• Challenges existing norms and finds new ways to drive continuous improvement. Proven experience of execution on project timelines with medium to high business impact. 
• Work with production and engineering peers to understand line critical equipment and maintain critical spares to quickly repair line down 
• Acts as a leader/mentor for other tech peers in areas including but not limited to: Safety, technical expertise, out of tolerance report, NCEPs, equipment purchasing, etc.

Required qualifications: 

• 8 years of experience with an Associate Degree or an equivalent combination of education/work experience. 

Preferred qualifications: 

• Multiple years of experience troubleshooting high vacuum equipment including but not limited to: High Temperature Ovens, Sputter Coating Systems
• Proficiency with electrical and control system troubleshooting.
