As a Patient Access Coordinator, you will help us continue serving as a top leader of care by organizing and coordinating the activities and flow of work for the patient access area. Your efforts focus on optimizing your team and driving improvements, ultimately enhancing the Cleveland Clinic and positively impacting the community as a whole.
A caregiver in this position works M-F/8:00am-5:00pm.
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Organize and coordinate the activities and flow of work for the patient access area.
Develop, implement, and oversee programs to improve appointment utilization such as, reminder, follow-up on no-show/cancellation program.
Coordinate activities and resolve operational problems.
Adjust employees, patients, and physicians' schedules to respond to operational problems.
Control and audit the reconciliation of day sheets, including adjusting statistics in the computer data bank.
Produce reports as needed.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
High School Diploma or GED
Two years Cleveland Clinic outpatient scheduling experience or other equivalent position, which includes interacting with patients, physicians and other departments on a problem resolution basis
OR Minimum three years external outpatient scheduling experience where demonstrated experience includes resolving patient scheduling and the coordination of the work of others
OR Associate Degree may substitute for one year of experience
OR Bachelor's Degree may substitute for the experience requirement
