The System Integration Test Equipment team is looking for a Principal Project Engineer to develop project plans and budgets, pursue cost-saving opportunities to maximize project profitability, and monitor project performance.
What You Will Do
- Manage complex projects, working with a cross-functional team of Mechanical, Electrical, and Software engineers
- Create and maintain project schedules and budget forecast for new system development programs, as well as capital projects
- Identify and reacts to project issues and recommends solutions
- Manage work packages and schedule with the Earned Value Management System (EVMS)
- Provide metrics and associated analysis to the program office for periodic Earned Value Management System (EVMS) reporting
- Work closely with the Section Manager to assign project priorities, assign engineering resources to projects, and assess risks.
- Lead weekly Project status reviews with team
- Provide project status reports to Senior Management, Program Management and Finance
- Primary focal point between Engineering Test Equipment and internal and external customers
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and minimum 8 years prior relevant experience or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 5 years of experience or in absence of a degree, 12 years of relevant experience

Qualifications We Prefer
- MS Project experience
- EVMS experience
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite of Products
