We are looking for a Senior Engineer (f/m/d) to join our international team in Monheim am Rhein, Germany. This position reports to Senior Program Leader RD&E Life Science Europe & Asia Pacific.

In your role, you are responsible for leading cross-divisional innovation pipeline projects to develop safe, sustainable, and easy-to-use Packaging, Equipment and Application solutions. You will interact closely with research development & engineering, marketing, supply chain, regulatory affairs, sales, customers, and industry partners to identify and successfully implement game-changing concepts for Pharmaceutical customers. Your positive and energetic attitude to lead and drive projects with your peer technical staff, as well as your collaborative interaction with the sales team is key to your success.

What You Will Do:

• Lead the development of mid/ long-term strategy for packaging and equipment solutions incorporating customer input, corporate ambitions, and regulatory requirements.

• Lead large/complex projects to completion according to time, compliance, quality and cost targets as well as in consideration of Ecolab´s sustainability metrics.

• Communicate project status to stakeholders across the organization.

• The assigned packaging/equipment development work activities include packaging laboratory testing, bench scale experimentation, scale up work, plant test protocol, packaging transfer manual, test reports, specification development and regulatory agency certification/compliance.

• Manage required resources and partnerships with Ecolab vendors & copackers.

• Develop and sustain industry network to enable early access to state-of-the-art sustainable packaging / application technology.

• Support knowledge gaps for customers and Ecolab associates and create materials to inform and educate.

• Experienced Project Manager for packaging and equipment development.

• Agility to align input from multiple stakeholders to define priorities.

• Good communication & collaboration skills, excellent analytical skills and ability to work in a diverse and global team.

• Know-how to work in regulated markets with the highest quality standards, ideally in sterile products.

What you'll need:

• University degree either in packaging engineering, chemical or mechanical engineering or natural sciences and work experience (up to 5yrs) in an international environment, preferably in packaging or equipment development.

• Prior experience in Pharmaceutical business and/or other regulated markets.

• Prior experience with sustainability and circular economy

• Fluent in English with good verbal and written communication skills.

• A second European language besides English is preferred, fluency in German is also beneficial.
