The IT Asset Management Procurement Specialist is responsible for overseeing the acquisition and management of IT assets within an organization. This role involves collaborating with various teams, such as IT, finance, and procurement, to ensure efficient and cost-effective procurement processes. The ideal candidate is innovative, analytical, and passionate about developing product owner relationships, improving customer experience, and streamlining technology purchasing.
Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and oversee activities pertaining to procurement of technology goods and services, including requisitions, purchase orders, receiving, and documentation.
- Build strong relationships with product owners and vendors and serve as the liaison between the two.
- Ensure all IT asset procurement processes comply with company policies, industry regulations, and legal requirements.
- Assist with periodic audits to verify inventory accuracy and compliance with asset management policies.
- Work closely with IT teams to understand their requirements and align procurement activities with their needs.
- Assist Asset Management team by maintaining accurate records and other duties as assigned.
- Generating regular reports on procurement activities, vendor performance, and budget utilization to provide insights to management.
Qualifications, Skills, and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree or 2+ years’ experience working in procurement and/or technology.
- Experience in Service Now and/or D365 is a plus but not required.
- Attention to detail, strong analytical and communication skills.
- Ability to solve problems and work to tight deadlines while under pressure.
- Enthusiastic about helping others.
- Desire to learn innovative technology.
